Who qualifies for free admission to the program?
Third-country nationals (16 years and older) who have not yet attended a Deutsch4U course, with one of the following documents: Persons with permanent or lawful residence (e.g. EU long-term residence permit, settlement permit, or residence permit valid for at least 12 months or held for more than 18 months; excludes temporary purposes such as studies, vocational training, research, au pair or voluntary service), Persons with a residence permit under §24 Residence Act (temporary protection, e.g. refugees from Ukraine), Persons eligible for an integration course or a job-related language course (confirmation from BAMF), Persons with a residence permit or visa for job-seeking or training-seeking under §20 or §17 (1) Residence Act, Close family members (spouses, parents, children) of an eligible person. ⚠️ Important: EU citizens are not eligible for free participation.
What does the course curriculum cover and how long does it run?
In 12 weeks, you can complete one full level (A1, A2 or B1) in an intensive course with 240 teaching units (192 units in evening classes) . In our two-day evening courses, you complete around 3 chapters within one level (A1, A2 or B1) in 72 teaching units over 12 weeks. With the support of qualified teachers and in small groups (10–15 participants), you will train all key skills – speaking, listening, reading, writing, and grammar. In addition, in our modern classrooms you will also learn many important aspects of life and work in Germany.

Morning: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 12:30
Afternoon: Monday to Friday, 13:30 – 17:00
Evening: Monday to Thursday, 17:30 – 21:00 / Monday & Wednesday, 18:15 – 20:45 / Tuesday & Thursday, 18:15 – 20:45

Which coursebook do I need?
Our textbook Wolkenkratzer (A1, A2 or B1, including the online interactive trainer) is provided free of charge upon registration.
Where does the course take place?
ZDSK – Rödelheimer Bahnweg 31, 60489 Frankfurt – only a 2-minute walk from Rödelheim S-Bahn station.
How much does the course cost?
The course is free of charge for all eligible participants. At registration, you only pay a deposit of €50, which will be refunded after successfully completing the course. (See also §3 (4) of the Terms & Conditions below.)
How can I register?
Registration is only possible in person at our office (see Contact).
To allocate places, we carry out a placement test (not required for A1.1), either online at www.einstufungstest.online or on-site.

General Terms & Conditions (AGB) for participation in the Deutsch4U program
§ 1 Eligibility Requirements (1) The course participant confirms that: a) they have not previously attended a course within the Deutsch4U program, b) they are at least 16 years of age, c) they belong to one of the following groups: Persons with permanent or lawful residence (e.g. EU long-term residence permit, settlement permit, or residence permit valid for at least 12 months or held for more than 18 months; excludes stays for temporary purposes such as studies, vocational training, research, au pair or voluntary service), Persons holding a residence permit pursuant to § 24 Residence Act (temporary protection, e.g. refugees from Ukraine), Persons eligible for an integration course or a job-related language course (confirmation by BAMF), Persons holding a residence permit or visa for the purpose of seeking employment or vocational training pursuant to § 20 or § 17 (1) Residence Act, Close relatives (spouses, parents, children) of an eligible person. § 2 Attendance Obligation (1) The course participant undertakes to attend classes regularly. (2) In cases of more than five consecutive absences, or a total attendance rate of less than 80% of the teaching units (i.e. more than four absences within a four-week period), the participant may be deregistered from the course, unless a medical certificate is provided. § 3 Free of Charge, Deposit Regulation and Exclusion of Legal Claims (1) The course is free of charge. Course materials are provided free of charge. (2) There is no legal entitlement to the implementation of the course, to a specific course location, or to a specific instructor. (3) Changes to the timetable, course location or teaching staff remain reserved. (4) Upon registration, a deposit of €50 is required. This will be fully refunded after successful completion of the course. In the event of premature termination or non-attendance, no refund will be granted. § 4 Exclusion from the Course (1) Participants who repeatedly disrupt lessons, fail to comply with their obligations to cooperate, or otherwise violate the terms and conditions (AGB) may be excluded from the course. § 5 Data Protection (1) Personal data will be used exclusively for course administration and for communication with course participants. (2) No data will be passed on to third parties. (3) The provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) apply.
