Welcome to Zentrum für deutsche Sprache und Kultur! At our language school, you can learn German alongside other students from all around the globe - one of the most difficult, but also most rewarding languages in the world. Whether you need it for your studies, your job or simply to get by in everyday life, we can help. With our courses you can learn and improve your reading, listening, speaking, writing and grammar skills in a lively and communicative environment and learning is particularly effective with small groups of 8 – 15 participants. We offer courses at all times of day for all levels between A1 to C2 – from beginners to skilled German speakers!

Deutsch Intensiv morning

Four-week preparatory course for the digital TestDaF exam. Students are required to have completed level C1 beforehand. You can find the examination dates and information about the registration process on our web page under Exams.

The B2 and C1 course take place in blended learning:
You study 2 days a week in the course. On the third day you practice on the PC at school and test your skills. A teacher will help you with your questions.

Deutsch Kompakt evening
16 units of 45 minutes/week

Intensive course from beginners' to advanced level. 4 days per week in the classroom at school. On fridays, all participants will complete tasks at home in self-study. In groups of 8-15 participants, you will practice all four language skills (reading, listening, speaking, and writing) intensively and effectively.

Grammar course (hybrid)
2 units of 45 minutes/week

Are you struggling with the german grammar? Then attend our grammar course in presence or online (www.tandem-frankfurt.de).
Part1: Conjugation, case, alternating prepositions, adjective declension
Part2: Sentence structure (negation), connectors, verbs with prepositions, pronominal adverbs
Part3: Relative clauses, passive, participles as adjectives, conditional II
The course has 3 parts. Each part lasts 4 weeks and can be taken separately.
Blended Learning: 90 min of preparation using e-learning + 90 min on Wednesdays with teacher
Note: For this course you need the book: "Übungsgrammatik für die Grundstufe A2-B2" from Liebaug-Dartmann Verlag.

telc C1 Hochschule
preparatory course
20 units of 45 minutes/week
Monday-Friday / 13.30-17 / €460 for 4 weeks (examination excluded)
Four-week preparatory course for the telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule exam. This course can only be booked in combination with the booking of a C1 Hochschule exam.

Conversation
2 units of 45 minutes/week
Wednesday | 13:30 - 15:00 Uhr or 17.30 - 19.00 / €60 for 4 weeks
A course that focuses on oral communication in German, focusing on practicing free conversation about various topics, reading news articles about current events and expanding and developing vocabulary, and much more.

* The prices of the courses are the same regardless of language level.
Course books are not included in the price. The course book for A1, A2 and B1 ‘Wolkenkratzer’ is also available online free-of-charge. For B2 and C1 the digital version from ‘Aspekte neu’ can be purchased online. The printed version of 'Aspekte neu' can be bought in a bookshop, and the printed version of both 'Wolkenkratzer' and 'Aspekte neu' can be bought at the school.
After registering, you will receive a registration confirmation and a payment request via e-mail. Please note that the registration is valid only after receipt of the course fee.
If you apply for a visa for a language course in Germany, you need a course with at least 20 hours per week (45 minutes each).
If you need health insurance for your stay in Germany, we recommend insurance from "Care Concept".
In our A1, A2 and B1 courses we use our popular textbook Wolkenkratzer, which was awarded by the "Paritätisches Bildungswerk" and the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main with the Hessian main prize for good pedagogics. The book is also available as an online version completely free of charge. In the higher levels, we use Aspekte Neu (Klett Verlag) . The online license can be bought online in the BlinkShop at blinklearning. The printed copies of Wolkenkratzer and Aspekte Neu can be purchased at the language school.

The full course fee must be paid at least one week before the course starts.

The registration is valid for 4 weeks. A continuation of the course in the next level is usually possible.

Depending on the course type, each course for a certain level may begin with different lessons. Learning outcomes and the achievement of a certain level depend on individual circumstances and cannot be guaranteed.

Courses are aimed at adults and require your regular participation and constructive collaboration. We reserve the right to exclude participants from the course if they behave disruptively or fail to participate as required.

If you cancel your registration once the course has already started or decide not to participate for personal reasons (e.g. due to illness), we are unable to refund the course fee. If you cancel your registration up to four weeks before the course is due to start, we will charge a cancellation fee of € 30. Cancellation at a later date will incur a fee of 20% of the price for the full four weeks or a fee of € 30, whichever is higher.

If you have been granted a special visa to attend a German course, participation is mandatory. In most cases it is not possible to cancel.

If you register for a two-week course, the course fee will be 60%, for a three-week course 80% of the fee for a four-week course.

If we are obliged to cancel a course, we will reimburse already paid fees. No further claims can be made.

The occasional cancellation of classes as a result of exceptional circumstances will not be substituted.
